I met my letter carrier at the mail box today and he said he has seen my name all morning long. I gave him a look of understanding but had absolutely no idea what he was referring to. Renee went home early today and called when she picked up the mail. She described a large postcard asking voters to support John Waltz and myself.
I was interested to see the return postage address as" Concerned Citizens of Buckhannon". Not knowing who these citizens are, I can only imagine that they truly desire change and think enough of John and me that change might actually occur if we are elected.
Who ever you are, thank you for your vote of confidence. If elected I will do my best to look at what is best for our city.

Well than if you truly don't know, it really is obvious. It is the same folks that asked (talked) you too run. The same folks that started their little PAC to overthrow the current elected officials. I'll give you the initials,,C.J.R., B. V.N., R.C., M.L., J&D H., oh hell., they are all in the CVB law suit. Th3e one thing I have learned, be carefull what you wish for!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Anonymous, you have hit the nail on the head. For Mr. Preston to now act so innocent in all of this is shameful. It is a funny thing that a post card went around to citizens with vote for Preston, Waltz and Clemens and was paid for the committee to elect Scott Preston. Now who is lying? Terry Reed even gave it to a neighbor of mine so you know where that is coming from. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU and the citizens will find out soon enough if they get in.
ReplyDeleteSHAME ON YOU for calling my husband a liar! We were both quite surprised to receive this postcard in the mail last week. Neither of us had prior knowledge of this card. I have been nothing but disappointed in the negative comments left by people on this blog. Shame on you all for not being man or woman enough to put your name behind your negative comments. What people WILL find out if Scott is elected will be that he will give nothing but his best to our town. Scott is honest and consistant, and will represent Buckhannon in that manner. Why anyone would want to open him/herself to the kind of unfounded attacks you "anonymous" people have waged on here is beyond me. God Bless those willing to serve our town. May the good Lord grant them thick skin.
ReplyDeleteInteresting thing about blogs. You put it out there and people will respond. Not always positively or they would have your e-mail address. I would not call Mr. Preston a liar. He seems honest enough. Honest enough not to really address any of the issues concerniong the REAL residents of our city. I understand wanting to consider the options, weighing them out, and making a decision, a stand so to speak. Unfortunatly I have not seen any such results from his opinions on this blog. And, yes, you must have thick skin for elected offices. And hopefully not your wife defending you. I sincerely hope for the "Concerned Citizens of Buckhannon" Mr. Preston is not easily influenced by their rhetoric. Anonymous it is, as it should be until elections are over. Good Luck :)
